Description Product Overview STOPGAP 500 is a rapid-setting, rapid-drying floor finishing compound designed to provide a smooth, feathered finish on rigid, dry, absorbent subfloors prior to the installation of floorcoverings. It is formulated as a pre-blended cementitious powder that is mixed with water and applied as a micro-coat or thin smoothing layer. Designed for light to medium traffic areas, it allows installers to correct minor surface imperfections quickly without the need for priming. The compound delivers excellent dimensional stability and can be applied to a feather edge, making it suitable for finishing plywood joints, smoothing existing compounds, and preparing screeds. STOPGAP 500 is also protein-free and low odour, allowing use in sensitive environments such as hospitals and clean rooms.
