Description Overview Mapei Ultrabond Eco Tack TX AU is a high-quality, acrylic-based tackifier adhesive designed to provide a permanently tacky film once dry. Because it remains tacky, the adhesive supports repositioning and maintenance without damaging the tiles or substrate. Applications & Suitable Uses This tackifier is suitable for securing carpet tiles, textile floorings, underlayments, loose-lay luxury vinyl tile (LVT), and vinyl composite tile (VCT). It prevents slipping or movement of floor coverings while still allowing them to be lifted or replaced if needed. Application & Installation Instructions Clean and prepare the substrate to be sound, dry, and free of dust, grease, or loose materials. Apply an even coat of Ultrabond Eco Tack TX AU to the substrate using a roller. Allow the adhesive to dry to a tacky film (drying time depending on ambient conditions). Lay the carpet tiles or flooring over the tacky surface, pressing into contact without sliding. Flooring may be walked on immediately after placement — the tack holds without full cure delays. Surface Preparation & Best Practices Ensure the substrate is stable and well-prepared. On smooth or low-absorbent surfaces, ensure adequate adhesion by light abrasion or priming. All contaminants, old adhesive residues, sealers, or coatings must be removed before applying the tackifier.
